REQUIRED PATTERN AND RULER:

• Creative Grids Curvy Log Cabin Trim Tool 8” Finished (CGRJAW5)
• Creative Grids Log Cabin Trim Tool 8” Finished Block  (CGRJAW1)
• I Love America Pattern from Cut Loose Press (CLPJAW020)
• Optional Rotating Cutting Mat

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 pre-cut bundle 2 ½” wide red strips* (At least 12 strips)
• 1 pre-cut bundle 2 ½” wide blue strips*(At least 8 strips)
• 1 ¼ yard white fabric
• 1 2/3 yards patriotic fabric for backing and binding
• Scraps in red and blue can be used instead of pre-cuts

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS (SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE CLASS}:

Blue fabric:

          Cut (8) 2 ½” center squares for blue/white traditional log cabins

                    Bring rest to class.

Red fabric:

          Cut (4) 1 ¾” center squares for heart and background curvy log cabins.       

                    Bring rest to class.

White fabric:

          Cut (8) 1 ¾” center squares for heart and background curvy log cabins.

          Cut (8) 1 ¾” x WOF strips for blue/white traditional log cabin blocks

          Cut (8) 1 ½” x WOF strips for the red/white and the white/white curvy  log cabin blocks.

          Cut (4) 2 ¼” x WOF strips for the red/white and the white/white curvy log cabin heart blocks

          Cut (1) 1 ½” x 32” strip for separating strip

Bring any extra to class

SEWING SUPPLIES

          Sewing Machine you are familiar with (Don’t forget power cable)

          Choice of ¼” foot or guide for piecing

          New needle in sewing machine

          A quilting ruler to use in class

          Rotary Cutter with new blade

          Your Choice of pins or magic clips you use when piecing

          Your choice of marking pens or marking pencils

          Rotating cutting mat

          Choice of thread

          Rotating cutting mat (optional)

          Snips or scissors you like to use when piecing

          Any other sewing supplies you might want to use for piecing
